All portable power stations from Könner & Söhnen feature lithium batteries with a BMS controller to protect the batteries from overcurrent, overcharging, and overdischarge (over and under voltage of each cell), overheating, and undercooling. This significantly extends the lifespan of the device. They also feature electronic overload and short-circuit protection. Additionally, unlike diesel and gasoline generators, they have no moving parts that could cause injury to the user.
